As I said in the article, by spreading the investigations across multiple committees, the House is burying the lead. With multiple investigations the most important information could be lost or buried in the confusion. Media focuses on what they believe to be the top story and isn’t likely to cover every one of those investigations consistently or coherently.

Impeachment hearings bring the threads of multiple investigations into a single chamber with a much higher profile. The hearings would receive more media attention and consolidate the discovery and information collected.

I would add that Impeachment sends a stronger message that the House intends to hold Trump accountable to Congressional oversight than a many-ringed circus of committee hearings.
