I spent most of my life in Texas where I heard, more times than I can count, “my three year old can do that” or “my sixth grader.” The people who said it dismissed the art before even looking to see what they could find.

I did a layover comparison of a three-year-old’s drawing with Picasso’s Guernica. It’s pretty easy to draw objective conclusions as to which deserves our attention (unless we’re parents, of course).
