I still have a visceral reaction to the spaghetti alfredo scene in Alien, when Sogourney Weaver knocks Ian Holm’s head off and those white creamy noodles spill out. Then, Holm dribbles white formula like an infant while he talks.

I handled the little beastie bursting scene. Saw that coming as soon as John Hurt stuck his head in the alien egg.

But I saved my hot dog and ate it just before the scene where the droid among them was exposed. It took a lot of will power not to leave the hot dog on the theater floor when those cream spouting noodles popped out of Ian Holm’s neck.

As to Re-animator? (My number 2 on the list). My wife said, “I guess you have to be a guy to get that,” when the movie ended. Maybe she was right.
